Hi my name is Vicki and in September 2022 I decided to leave my job in Estate Agency to pursue my passion designing and making items for the Home.

After 21 years in a secure job, it was a huge risk but knew if I didn’t do it now, I never would. I’d always wanted to run my own business and with the help and support of my lovely husband and son who is now 17yrs old, I was able to start my little venture I’d always dreamed of, it was then Unique by Designs was created. 

 Over the years I’ve moved and renovated 4 homes of my own, and always found it difficult to find items that were a little bit different to those found in high street shops without breaking the bank, it was then I started to scour the net for different pieces, up-cycle furniture and make new things myself.

   I love designing, painting and crafting individual pieces for the home and after a year or so I decided to follow my mum at sewing and started to make my own cushion covers, I never thought I would see myself behind a machine other than a computer but after making my first one, then completing another it gave me a buzz to make more. 

In addition to my unique finds online, you will find a number of my Handmade pieces at Markets and Fayre's including my very own handmade cushions,  personalised gifts and seasonal decorations you wont find anywhere else, all at reasonable prices.
